Apache Buys $7B in BP Assets

Apache Corporation (APA) said late yesterday it has agreed to acquire $7 billion in assets from BP’s (BP). The acquisition includes oil and gas operations, acreage and infrastructure in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico and in Egypt’s Western Desert, as well as BP’s upstream natural gas business in Alberta and British Columbia.
